Common Ground is looking for contributors who can help explain European politics through informed national and local perspectives.

Contributors take on a primary country responsibility, while still being free to follow wider European questions where their perspective adds value.

What we expect

A clear pro-European attitude and interest in Europe as a shared political space.
A willingness to engage seriously with Common Ground’s editorial standards.
The ability to explain national or local debates for a wider European audience.
Transparency about your perspective, role and area of expertise.

Publication name

Transparent authorship

Contributors generally publish under their real full name. Common Ground believes that authorship should be transparent, especially in political journalism and analysis.

In rare and justified cases, Common Ground may allow articles to be published with a pseudonymised surname. Such exceptions must be discussed with the editorial team before publication.
